Day 1
Depart Auckland at 8.15 am for Paihia. Ride the amphibious Paihia Duck for an entertaining 1½ hour orientation tour by land and sea.
Day 2
Today's excursion will be a full, fun day. Visit giant Kauri trees at Puketi Forest, take a 4WD along 90 Mile Beach and Te Paki quicksand stream, dig for Tuatua (shellfish), boogie board down huge sand dunes, visit the Cape Reinga lighthouse to see where the Tasman Sea meets the Pacific Ocean. Return via the famous Mangonui fish & chip shop (dinner own expense).
Day 3
Take the ultimate boat trip through the Bay of Islands. Enjoy the acceleration and speed of the Mack Attack with a top speed of 50 knots, and enjoy our tall tales and history of the area. Stop for photo opportunities and to observe the abundant wildlife. Return to Auckland by coach, arriving at 5.20 pm.
